Diocesan Young Adult Ministry

2022-05-25 19:00 2022-05-25 20:30 America/Toronto Diocesan Young Adult Ministry

Join us from 7 p.m to 8:30 pm on Wednesday May 25th at St. Columbkiille Cathedral parish hall. Please note that we will be going back to our regular start time of 7 p.m. This is so that people can have a chance to attend the whole Holy Hour prior to our gathering…6-7pm. And also go to confession if you so desire. We have the opportunity to have Christine Helferty, speak to us regarding her experience with discernment for the last two years. Below is a little update on what she has been up to. She will tie this in with discernment in general, no matter what vocation or decision you may be discerning in life and how to trust in the Lord to show you what He wants for your life by revealing more and more to you about yourself as you mature in your spiritual life. We will have discussion and a Question and Answer period as well. Christine Helferty entered a traditional religious community of Sisters called Filiae Laboris Mariae in Minneapolis in January 2020. After two beautiful and very formative years, she discerned that the Lord was not calling her to profess vows within the Labor Mariae community, but rather to leave the convent and to pursue a consecrated vocation in some other avenue. She is currently a parishioner in Douglas at St. Michael’s Church. Christine has been asked to speak about discernment and to share some of her experiences from religious life.
