Office for the New Evangelization

“It is like a mustard seed that, when it is sown in the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on the earth. But once it is sown, it springs up and becomes the largest of plants and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the sky can dwell in its shade.” Mark 4: 31-32

The New Evangelization office is fully dedicated to assisting parishes, communities, and other Catholic groups within the diocese in reaching out to those who do not have faith or have become disconnected from the Church and its sacraments.

The New Evangelization calls the faithful and parishes to go forth and proclaim the Gospel “to those awaiting the first evangelization and to those who have experienced a serious crisis of faith due to secularization.”  (Cf. Pope Benedict XVI)

To bolster the efforts of the office for the New Evangelization, a dynamic team has been assembled, consisting of the bishop, priests, deacons, and dedicated lay individuals. Together, they work to further the mission of spreading the Good News and revitalize the faith within the diocese. (READ ABOUT THE EVANGELIZATION TEAM’S INITIATIVES)
