E.M.M.M.: Emmaus Monthly Morning Meet-ups A Young Adult Gathering Saturday, November 7, 2026 · 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. · St. James the Less, Eganville “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32) A monthly Saturday morning for young adults, shaped by the road to Emmaus: friends walking together, the Scriptures opened, and Christ met in the breaking of the bread. This Month Scripture Session: The Rules for Reading Prophecy Prophecy isn’t a secret code or a prediction chart. The early Church read it by a few simple rules that unlock the whole Old Testament. Learn them, then bring your questions. Talk 1: Technology: Filtered: Who Am I When No One’s Watching? Filters, comparison, living for an audience. What are our screens doing to how we see ourselves, and what identity does God give that no algorithm can take away? Talk 2: Discernment: How God Speaks: Learning to Recognize His Voice Last month we learned to get quiet. This month we learn what to listen for, and how to tell God’s voice apart from our own anxieties and the noise around us. Book Club We continue C.S. Lewis’s The Screwtape Letters with Letters 1–4. If you’re new, read those four and you’re caught up. Also This Morning Adoration and confession, Mass, and lunch together.
