A Faith Formation Day will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish Annex, Pembroke starting at 9:30am with the celebration of the Holy Mass, concluding at 2:00pm. Topic: “So that all may be one” (John 17:21): Our Synodal Journey: Walking Together as Pilgrims of Hope.” There is no registration fee, but registration is necessary. Upcoming National Liturgy Meeting to Be Held in Hamilton

Ottawa, 21 October 2025 – The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) will convene its Triennial National Liturgy Meeting from October 27 to 29, 2025, in Hamilton, Ontario. This in-person gathering—the first since 2017—will bring together diocesan directors of liturgy and chairpersons of liturgical commissions from across the country. This meeting offers participants a valuable and unique opportunity to engage in liturgical formation, fostering a deeper understanding of the Eucharist as the heart of Catholic worship, and equips attendees with practical tools to enhance liturgical celebrations, ensuring they are life-giving and reflective of the Church’s mission to evangelize and sanctify. 1st Thursday Holy Hours to Pray for Vocations

November 6th from 6:30-7:30pm at St. Lawrence O’Toole Parish, Barry’s Bay. The Holy Hour will consist of Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Sacred Music, a reflection by Fr. Scott Murray, a Rosary for vocations, and time for silent prayer. These Holy Hours are open to everyone, not just those considering a priestly vocation. Bible Study about Mary

Have you ever wondered what the bible teaches us about Mary and why Catholics honour her so much? Then you need to come to our Bible study! The instructor is Patrick Sullivan, Family, Life and Youth Ministry Director for the Diocese of Pembroke and a Catholic Evangelist who speaks to audiences around North America about all aspects of our faith. Meetings will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish Hall every Wednesday from 9:30am to 11am. The final session will be November 26th. All are welcome!

Solemn Mass of Remembrance for the Fall and the Feast of Saint Martin of Tours, Principal Patron of the Roman Catholic Military Ordinariate of Canada – 11 November 2025

His Excellency, the Most Reverend Scott McCaig, CC, Bishop-Ordinary of the Roman Catholic Military Ordinariate of Canada, is pleased to invite all Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans, their families, and interested members of the public to a Solemn Mass of Remembrance for the Fallen that he will preside at Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica, 385 Sussex Drive, Ottawa, Ontario on 11th November 2025 at 0830 a.m. (EDT). This memorial Mass is offered for the eternal rest of all persons who, throughout the generations, have died in the service of Canada in times of war, armed conflict and peace. The Cathedral Basilica’s proximity to Canada’s National War Memorial (approx. 800 metres) will allow participants the possibility of attending the National Remembrance Day Ceremony following the conclusion of the Mass. As well, immediately following the conclusion of Mass, a relic of Saint Martin of Tours will be displayed for silent veneration.
