Pope Leo XIV’s biography can be read on the Vatican News website here.

Prayer for the Pope

(Excerpt from the English translation of the Roman Missal)

O God, shepherd and ruler of all the faithful,

look favourably on your servant Leo XIV,

whom you have set at the head of your

Church as her shepherd;

grant, we pray, that by word and example

he may be of service to those over whom

he presides

so that, together with the flock entrusted

to his care,

he may come to everlasting life.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you in the unity

of the Holy Spirit,

God, for ever and ever.

EVANGELIZATION

Grace and Common Sense

By Pierre-Alain Giffard, Director of Pastoral Work

The Catholic Church, guided by Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and the Magisterium, calls its members to evangelize and spread the Gospel. Evangelization is not just about proclaiming Church teachings but doing so with love, compassion, and common sense. Jesus Himself demonstrated that practicing faith and sharing God’s truth requires an understanding of the spirit behind the law rather than mere adherence to the letter. As Catholics, we are called to live and share the faith in a way that draws people closer to God through love and mercy. (Read more…)
