Thinking of becoming Catholic?
We are happy that you are choosing to know more about our Catholic Faith.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a journey where adults come to learn about and experience the Christian life, specifically our Catholic beliefs and traditions, and become initiated into the life of our Church through the celebration of the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.
RCIA is not something new. It is a return to the initial traditions of our Church. This rite was celebrated between the second and the fifth centuries of the Christian era. The RCIA journey takes place in the centre of the Christian community. The whole community is called to reflect upon the value of its faith, to renew its own conversion, and by its example, to lead those who are searching to grow in their own spiritual lives.
For more information about RCIA please contact the pastor of your parish community or Deacon Adrien Chaput, Director of the Office of Faith Formation.
