New Online Evangelization Prayer Group

Prayer as a means of drawing people to Christ is a primary and essential task. Benedict XVI explains that  “people who pray are not wasting their time, even though the situation appears desperate and seems to call for action alone.” (Deus caritas est, # 36). Prayer should be the foundation of all activities in the Church. To follow up on this conviction, the evangelization team is now starting an online prayer group to intercede for the diocesan evangelization project, for the members of the team, and for all those who God wants us to reach.

As baptized and confirmed members of the Church, we are all commissioned to pray for those who are lost and to proclaim the Good News with all our lives. But this cannot be done without the Holy Spirit. Without me, Jesus said, you can do nothing (John 15:5).  “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7). That’s why we hope you will join us online every Wednesday night at 7:30 pm. We will pray the rosary, sometimes a novena, or meditate on a Gospel passage. Please mark your calendar and join us by clicking the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84010154174 If you cannot be with us, please intercede for the diocesan evangelization project in your personal moments of prayer.
