Life and Family Suggestions for Homilies and Prayers of the Faithful during September 2020

The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops continues to post homily ideas and prayers of the faithful to help link the Sunday liturgy with the national pastoral initiative for life and family. Season of Creation 2020 – Jubilee for the Earth

Endorsed by Pope Francis in 2015 and supported by the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, the annual month-long ecumenical celebration entitled the Season of Creation runs from Sept. 1st, World Day of Prayer for Creation to Oct. 4th, the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi. The celebration calls on the global Christian community to promote prayer and action to protect our common home, and is one of the initiatives to celebrate the Special Laudato Si’ Anniversary Year which runs from May 24, 2020 – May 24, 2021. Marriage Preparation Program

The Fall Diocesan Marriage Preparation Program is coming up on Saturday, October 3 and Saturday, October 17, 2020 at St. James the Less Parish, Eganville. Deadline to register is September 28, 2020. Diocesan Young Adult Ministry

Join us on Wednesday, September 16th for our monthly ministry gatherings at the Chancery office building, 188 Renfrew St., Pembroke, from 7-8:30 p.m. Holy Hour will be at St. Columbkille Cathedral from 6-7 p.m. (optional).
